I think you mean a ‘me too’ positioning strategy. There may be a more professionally recognised word for it though, although ‘me too’ appears in text books. This is basically where a company adopts a tried and tested strategy of others, because it works and theres room in the market for more competitors.
Now can you answer my question on synergistic marketing?!
I’m not exactly sure what you are asking for.
For one, I don’t know that it would be a smart idea to emulate a competitor, for fear of creating confusion in the minds of your audience.
Are you referring to parody ads? For instance, years ago, after Goody Silverstein in San Francisco came up with “got milk?” everyone and their dog started coming out with “Got (insert product here)?” Is that the type of ad you are referring to?
