I want to know If It’s legal to publish a book with 3.000 or 4.000 ads taken from only one magazine that published between the 40s and the 70s. Who own the copyright of that material? The magazine? The companies who published the ads? Perhaps the copyright has expired? Can a book be considered “fair use”?
My summer instructions for school entitled for me to read a book, and create a poster for it. Try to sell the book if I liked it, try to encourage people to avoid it if I didn’t. I don’t know how to encourage people to avoid a book without me just coming out and saying I hated it. The book is “The Catcher in the Rye,” if that helps.
