What Is The Average Tenure For An Advertising Copywriter, Art Director, Media Planner, And Account Executive?

And what exactly is a copywriter?
Is it the same as a jingle writer?
And if I should go to college for it – what do you suggest I major in? Communications? With a concentration in what?
Sort of last minutes as I need to accept or decline an offer tomorrow morning. I have one year’s experience as a copywriter in marketing at a book publisher.
hey, i got accepted into a good advertising copywriting school. im usually really creative and i love to write (i did an undergrad journalism degree). BUT, do I have to be outgoing to work in advertising? In some of my classes, I’ve gotten really nervous cuz we had to do ad campaign presentations…I’m not used to that (I’m willing to get better at em though). For some reason, when I get really nervous my thought processes arent that great, so I don’t think up my best stuff.
Is it ok that I’m on the shy side? Sometimes I can be very assertive, but I just started at this school so I feel really disoriented and shy in front of my new classmates and teachers.
How do I get into advertising copywriting or a profession of a similar mold?
I have a good degree in English Studies (including a dissertation-level creative writing portfolio), a Trinity College London certificate in TESOL, ‘A’ level English, two other ‘A’ level qualifications, 11 GCSEs at grade C and above, and I like creative writing a LOT.
But how do I get into work as an advertising copywriter? From what I have researched, the job sounds ideal for me. I have no problem with the prospect of low or unpaid internships if it leads to a decent job in the field, but how on earth do I get in there?
