I am considering starting a career in advertising or public relations. For anyone who has insight into these careers and who is working in Manhattan, can you tell me how much free time I can expect? I’d like to earn at least around $60k/yr and I’d like to have most evenings and weekends free.
Is this possible? If you are in Manhattan and in these professions, what is your life like outside of work? Do you get to hang out with friends for a drink after work or to go to the gym, see movies, theater and in general just get to enjoy the fact that you live in New York City?
