I have 2 girls 14 and 13, they have been online and I have caught them doing a couple things they should not be doing. I moved the computer into the family room so we could keep a better eye on them and we still found them on sites they should not be on. I am working on creating Gallery Underground/Open Mic Coffee Night—Last Friday of the month 7-8:30 PM @ The Park Teen Center 855 South 8th St. Lincoln NE. We are looking for entries for the Gallery, all media will be considered. Open Mic is looking for acoustic bands, slam poets, free style & more. I don’t know what else to do in order to advertise to Lincoln youth. Our first show went well 41 teens attended & then for the second we only had 15 show up. I have made contact with teachers & have sent flyers to schools, stopped by coffee shops & left flyers. I’ve gone as far as starting to advertise on public radio. I don’t remember what the hot spots for teens are these days. If any one has any ideas on how I can reach a large audience, let me know.
